From my point of view it’s just a tragedy that Deke is giving up writing his Trimet blog.
One less voice of reason among the never ending pro establishment propaganda.
His readership has “slumped” apparently. If I cared about views or friends or favorites or any of the standard measures of success I would’ve given up blogging years ago, over a decade ago actually.
But the culture known as TriMet must be in my genetic code. I happened to work there at a very unique time in history and approached my job in a way that I can’t imagine today. As a matter fact I know it wouldn’t be possible to do what I used to do when I was working there. Farewell Deke, you will be missed at the TriMet “club”. The few of us that seem to be addicted to this material will carry on.
