1-ADOPTING AREVISED INVESTMENT POLICY-As you probably know TriMet along with all the other government entities are absolutely rolling in cash so what do they do with it until they decide which pork barrel to fund? 2-AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH SUMMIT STRATEGIESGOVERNMENT AFFAIRS LLC (SUMMIT) FOR FEDERALLEGISLATIVE SERVICES This is $1,180,000 for what appears to be lobbying the federal government. This is a fantastic use of our tax dollars isn't it. Of course I'm not surprised, TriMet hands out pork for all kinds of stupid shit.
3-AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THECONTRACT WITH J.E. DUNN CONSTRUCTION And here we have yet another, one of thousands, of examples of contractors getting additional money over and above what they contracted for. This is standard operating procedure when it comes to tax funded government contracts. The parasite class squeezes you for $2.50 while they hand out hundreds of millions in cost overruns to the crony capitalist contractors. "The purpose of government is crime". In this case an extra $7,400.000 bringing the total cost of remodeling the Powell garage to $146,635,897. Shit you could build a new garage for that price. Just your average tax payer rip off.
4-MODIFICATION TO THECONTRACT WITH NORTHWEST TESTING INC. FOR MATERIALTESTING AND SPECIAL INSPECTION SERVICES As if $146.7 million wasn't enough of your hard earned cash being wasted on this capital project there is an additional cost for "inspection" services on this boondoggle. Due to the usual excuses this cost will now increase from $500,000 to $800,000. No problem, its a government contract and there is ALWAYS money available for shit like this, there's just no money available for you, the citizens. Crime syndicates be crime syndicates.
5- A MODIFICATION TO THECONTRACT WITH NORTHWEST TESTING INC. FORGEOTECHNICAL INSPECTION SERVICES Well well well, this Powell Garage remodeling is turning out to be quite the little windfall for all the contractors involved with it. This is some different testing service apparently and they also need an increase in cash for all the same reasons. They want an extra 100 grand bringing the total to $600,000. And as always "they" (psychopaths running this crime syndicate) ALWAYS have extra money around for this sort of thing.
6-AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF A CONTRACT WITH SHIELSOBLETZ JOHNSON This is my most favorite Pork Barrel thought up by the TriMet crime syndicate. THE BETTER RED, something so totally useless that its hard to believe they are actually doing it. But as we know the crime syndicate hands that cash out to all the usual oligarchic institutions to keep funneling that tax payer cash to the top 10%. This is for "construction management" apparently (since people working at TriMet from home don't actually do any actual work) The initial contract was for $497,900. They want an additional $1,010,000 and so they get it. Just ask and ye shall receive when you're a government contractor
