Everybody with a brain knows that its not a 'labor shortage' its a pay shortage. 

Considering what operators have to put up with these days these jobs need to be reclassified and the starting and ending wages must be increased significantly.

 No Transit agency is stepping up to the plate to end the "driver shortages".

 What's actually happening at TriMet and around the country and the world is that austerity is being imposed on the public and they hide behind the "labor shortage" myth

The American trade unions and the parasites who run them

 The data makes clear that the trade unions are not organizations of the working class. They have been transformed into organizations that rob workers of billions of dollars in dues money in order to enrich bureaucrats who live comfortable lives in the richest 10 percent of American society. They suppress the class struggle and form a critical part of the Democratic Party and the imperialist state.

The unions spend tens of billions of dollars, not on improving the conditions of the workers they represent, but on an apparatus of staffers who workers never see nor hear from. The unions spent $15.6 billion in 2020, overwhelmingly on wages and benefits to tens of thousands of union staff. In most cases, these officials are simply Democratic Party staffers whose work campaigning for Democratic politicians is essentially involuntarily subsidized by the working class.

Me and Tim palled around quite often when we both were working at TriMet. We kept in contract after we both left there although I never saw him in person after that. I had a falling out with Tim a year or two ago over the fucking vaccines. He wrote in the union paper at  his "Mulligans stew" section that anybody who was unvaccinated should be denied healthcare because of "their decisions". Obviously I took exception to that and we stopped communicating. It appears he had been sick for the past year I know nothing of this at all until now. Rest in peace buddy.
