If only Trimet upper management had the same healthy respect as Pete for what operators do. Thanks for caring and trying to raise the bar for human decency at Trimet, Pete. Wishing you a healthy and happy retirement! Cheers.
I sure hope you read this or someone passes it on to you.
You are dearly missed-you have listened patiently when I was unsure of myself, you have helped me when I hadn't realized yet that I needed help.
I am no longer a participant of the Bus Department- I went to the "dark side" of the tracks, but you were someone that I really wish I had more time to get to know. You are spot on about many of the people you spoke about in the speech posted here-Mike and Betsy and Clover..all angels for whom I have high respect for. Management can really learn something from each of them.
I'd like to say I will see you out and about (somehow missed the announcement you were retiring) but ironically I don't end up running into many of our cohorts on the streets. Still, it would be nice to see you out there.
Best wishes Mr. Taylor. I know it's Pete, but you were more than just Pete.
Didn't know Pete's bio, just knew that he was a supportive, observant trainer when I had my first (and only) PA back in 2005.
ReplyDeleteOne of the good guys. I'm sorry that the organization provided more of a jab in the back rather than a pat on the back at the end of his career.
All the best, Pete.
