PORTLAND -- Police were looking Tuesday morning for a man who spit in the face of a TriMet driver on NE 122nd, north of Halsey.
The passenger ran from the bus. His girlfriend was detained, according to TriMet officials. The couple boarded the bus without valid transfers, said Sgt. Pete Simpson. They were asked by the driver to leave the bus when the man spit on the driver.

The 71 is one line I will not drive on vacation relief if there are other choices to be made.It is one difficult train to drive.
That's really terrable getting spit on, I sure hope the driver doesn't get mad, but "gets even" for peace of mind sake.
I'm very sorry to hear anyone spiting they should go to jail . But because it happend to a bus driver know one cares. But if you spit on anyone eles on the bus they will investigate. Are driver need good citizen to help witness and report to police
