I'm sure its just a coincidence that this guy has retired at the exact same time as TriMet gets sued by the City of Portland for faulty construction.  He was the head guy in charge of all these projects. Apparently asleep at the wheel.

TRIMET SUED BY PORTLAND

 The city council unanimously gave the city the greenlight to sue TriMet back in March. According to that resolution, a city-hired engineer found multiple problems that cropped up after the construction firm finished the job in 2015.

City attorneys allege the buck should have stopped with TriMet; they contend leaders at the transportation agency failed to oversee the construction firm and ensure the work was up to their standards. They are suing both TriMet and Stacy and Witbeck for negligence and breach of contract.

Stacy and Witbeck did not respond to a request for comment. A TriMet spokesperson declined to comment citing pending litigation.

TriMet, if it had any sense of a smooth-rolling bus operation, should sue Metro, the City of Portland, Milwaukie, Beaverton, Oregon City, Gresham, Hillsboro, and all other towns within its grasp. For billions of dollars of wasted fuel, time and intense frustration of its operators at the least.

Why? Deep into the 21st century, our traffic signals are stuck in a bass-ackwards time warp.

If the current crop of incompetent inbred TriMet management does not have Knowledge of about the persistent chronic problems that have plagued operators, bus and rail, for decades, with ever expanding list of new variations on old problems, one needs really think is just a waste of time and effort?
