Is Trimet really in the process of change?

Mcfarlane slinked out the back door (to his tax funded six figure retirement) and three board members got "fired".  Some of the activist groups see these moves as evidence that things may be 'changing' at Trimet.

Personally I'm not buying any of it.
Obviously our masters are aware that Trimet has a public relations problem.
Trimet officials knew they couldn't get the citizens to open their wallets.
It was so bad they turned the whole thing over to Metro hoping that they can coax the citizens into ponying up their hard earned cash for that horrible southwest corridor project.
The masters have plowed 100's of millions of payroll tax dollars on that damn project, they don't need voters approval for that.
Any citizen capable of rational independent thought knows that all of these Trimet capital projects serve the elites that are involved in the projects.
From the planners, engineers, construction contractors, managers, coordinators  etc etc on and on.  This project will do nothing to help the citizens anymore than that  Division gentrification project will.
Meanwhile Trimet on the ground services continue to struggle

The "leadership" has basically remained the same at Trimet.
Kelsey is Mcfarlanes hand picked successor and Bruce Warner remains the president of that sock puppet board.
None of the three new board members know anything about transit from what I've seen.

Our 'masters' are experts at fooling us.
All they want is our money.
Government today serves only the interests of the elites, you see it at all levels.
Don't buy the hype.

Just a few

Conversation with Eli Richey

Pacifist and Police accountability activist Eli Richey rots in the American gulag on a Class C misdemeanor charge. I know for sure why he's sitting in jail, and its no different from when Lane Jensen ended up in jail.  He was getting in the way of the people that rule our lives. Eli is no threat to anybody and the case is a farce. But hey, this is the united states of america, land of the free, where we are free to do as we are told, or else.

Trimet Deke’n in Blue

If you want to improve customer service then fix the model, because it's broken into a million pieces. People call in to complain about operators without even knowing the rules and regulations which guide us every day. They also often lie about what actually happens.

The Portland Business Alliance’s New TriMet-Based Pipeline for Indentured Labor

I want to expand on something I brought up in my critique of TriMet’s new business plan: the company’s new partnership with Portland Patrol, Inc. to create a new kind of security presence on transit, called “Transit Peace Officers.” Specifically, I want to elaborate on my fear that the PPI contract, in concert with TriMet’s new fine-or-community-service system to resolve fare evasion citations, creates a mechanism for the Portland Business Alliance to effectively force low-income folks to provide free labor for the Clean & Safe Program.

Trimet bus operator seniority rules under fire

Trimet has been establishing seniority of bus drivers by putting the names off all training class participants into a hat and then drawing names one at a time. Many newer operators object to this system and would like to see a fairer system implemented.

Like, hire date for example, like the rest of the world does it.

The Trimet board meeting-part 4-5-6

I hear lots of frustrations regarding operational procedures and expectations over the scanner and there is no reference to any of that during the board meeting. They even roll out some ‘exceptional’ Employees. There are issues going on operationally that are not acknowledged at this meeting. Remember these meetings are scripted

Jeff Ackerson retired

Jeff was my main man while battling the forces of evil in my last two years at Trimet.
He had enough, I was told he bailed a month earlier than planned.
We had a falling out after I left Trimet but he was one of the more important characters while I was there.

Happy retirement Jeff
