Cameron Johnson
We have been great pals for quite a while now.
Lately we seem to be having some communication problems, however I want it to be known that I still support Cameron 100% in his transit advocacy.

They have a video archive of all their meetings.
They publish monthly financial reports that are available on demand.
It's incredible the amount of information that is available in Houston Texas.

Oregon runs its transit agency like Portland is a cow town.
Basically no transparency (except the executives like to use the word plenty)
No attempt to bring any of the board proceedings public.
Appointed by a hack in Salem rather than any local officials.
Secret deals by the directors and the executives (those despicable executive raises)

UNION CAVES TO EXCLUSION UNTIL THE COURT RULES
There ya have it,, no bloggers allowed in to the meetings. There are some decent press representatives, specifically NW Labor Press, The Scanner, Aaron Mesh from Willamette Week is good, not sure about the Observer, and of course, Portland A-Foot, the Mercury is OK sometimes
Mcfarlane working hard to improve his rotten public image.
Portland Transport just published the first segment of its latest interview with the emperor. Further comments once I get done watching it.

A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHY WE CANNOT TRUST MAINSTREAM MEDIA
The PORTLAND TRIBUNE just published a story about the breakdown in union negotiations.
Of course the Trimet explanation is a total fabrication, which is what they do.
And the Tribune left out the most important part of the story, STEDMANS TANTRUM AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR.
We can't trust the mainstream media to cover this story. Michael Anderson has stated he might not be able to attend the meetings. If he doesn't attend and if the bloggers are banned then we will have not one independent source of information.
Then there is the JOE ROSE STORY in which he throws out the inflammatory 'best benefits in the entire USA' bullshit. We need independent coverage of this story

3 PEOPLE THAT STRIKE FEAR IN THE TRIMET EXECUTIVES
The bloggers are a direct threat to the power brokers at Trimet. The bloggers are not constrained by niceties of politics or relationships or money. The bloggers don't play that game. The bloggers create their material on their own time and at their own expense. They do it because they are passionate about the subject. Bloggers are not impressed with false promises and phony propaganda. Bloggers dont have 'committees' or 'meetings'. Bloggers are completely independent of that nonsense. Trimet executives are so scared of them the will not allow them to attend the negotiations. Well you know what? I have no interest in attending that crap, I don't work at the hell hole anymore. There is only one thing I am interested in now, preserving what was promised all retirees. Mcfarlane has broken the promises made to the people that have done the real work of Trimet. Mcfarlane is a liar and a thief. He is literally stealing from the pockets of the employees while he himself gets richer and richer. Mcfarlane is the picture of tyranny, and all his henchmen guilty of supporting the tyrant in the name of enriching themselves

Trimet driver break rooms are a disgrace
While Mcfarlane and all his pals get brand new offices Trimet drivers get the shaft. The break rooms are in deplorable condition. My theory is that Trimet is intentionally mistreating its drivers. This was sent by a current Trimet employee.

As expected, Trimet has removed access to those reports.
Anything at all that makes them look bad, they squash.
There is ZILCH transparency at Trimet.

He is by far the most objective transit reporter in Portland.
Joe Rose has been doing a good job lately, but he reports to the Oregonian, and the Oregonian has an agenda and its not labor friendly.
Of course the Parties could just video tape the proceedings and broadcast them publicly, but we know
Trimet will never allow that
So I don't need to get into a huge fight that I am excluded from their meetings, I just want the truth and who reports the truth is irrelevant.
Michael Anderson is not me of course, but overall we can expect objective reporting from him.
