Mcfarlane loves to keep himself out of the nuts and bolts of running 'his' transit agency.

 All he wants to do is play the hero without any of the risk. Forget it Neil, do your damn job!

Incident at Washington Square

At about 10:40 am Friday, July 24th, I arrived at my layover at Washington Square. I unloaded my passengers, secured the bus, turned it off.

I noticed a small group in developmentally delayed individuals waiting for a different bus. With them, were some chaperones. Just as I stood up from my seat, an autistic male boarded my bus and grabbed my breast. As I was trying to fight him off of me, one of the chaperones was also trying to pull him away from me. Finally he let go, and went to the back of the bus to sit down. 3 of the chaperones went with him and were talking with him and singing to him to try and get him off the bus.

We get a brand new light rail line to replace what was a bus line!

 Happy days are here again.

What garbage. 

This line has nothing to do with Trimet riders, everything to do with developers, property values, and construction contractors.

Light Rail gets another one

Lets not forget that Light Rail deaths dwarf automobile deaths but something about the inability of government to protect people properly around these light rail lines is very disturbing. All these deaths by Light Rail could be prevented with the proper safety measures. Louder bells? Flashing lights? Louder horns?

A man suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday after being struck by a TriMet MAX train in Hillsboro, fire officials said.

The man was ready to cross Southwest 185th Avenue at Baseline Road and waited for an eastbound train to pass, said Storm Smith, a Hillsboro Fire & Rescue spokesman. He started crossing and was struck by another train, headed west.

Fire crews responded about 10:10 a.m. An ambulance took the man to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, Smith said.

MAX Blue Line service is disrupted in the area. Shuttle buses are operating between the Orenco and Elmonica stops, according to TriMet.

Hillsboro police are investigating.

The revival of Lane Jensen

 After a year and a half hiatus Lane Jensen is back on the trail of Trimet and their shenanigans! He has re-established the on line public trimet scanner (I was called away due to family emergency) and has started a new website: trimet.lane-jensen.com

 For those of you who  have  followed this blog you may remember the mayhem that Lane Jensen created at Trimet. It was the most enjoyable blog year in history when Lane was actively involved. 

Trimet was dumbfounded by Lane. After Lane disrupted several board meetings Trimet executives conjured up a way to get rid of him using an obscure law and making phony baloney police reports.

It was one of the biggest governmental abuse of power I have seen in Portland. It all started when Lane sent Roberta Alstadt a series of text messages.

Roberta's cooperation in the conspiracy was key to getting rid of Lane Jensen

This was the text message that Lane sent to Roberta's phone several dozen times. He kept sending it because she refused to answer him, even though that's her job!

That sure looks like a threat doesn't it? Roberta said she was 'afraid' of Lane because of this message.

Because he sent it over and over Trimet distorted the cell phone harassment law and had Lane arrested.

I for the life of me just can't understand why the people who manufacture these buses can't figure out the proper ergonomics. They've only been making buses for 75 years yet they can't seem to figure this out.

A Trimet bus driver writes

Here we go again. Started this week on AM's, nice work, out early enough to spend time with wife and sons. Now it's my Thursday and I have a 3pm report. EXACTLY why I'm leaving the Extra Board. This is insane, terribly unhealthy, and I'm tired of it. I'm not complaining about hard work... I've done that all my life.

Why does Trimet insist on lying to the riders about MAX delays

For a short while there it started looking like Trimet officials (twitter) were actually telling people the truth about MAX delays. Now all of a sudden they are back with their same old bullshit
