4-PORK BARREL ADJUSTMENT This is the Division Pork Barrel. "They" already gave this place $8,200,000 but as we all know when it comes to capital projects the sky is the limit. This authorizes an additional $2,070,000 for "design services" cause as we all know the Trimet people don't actually do anything, they just hand out the pork.
Due to the complex nature of the Division Street underground utilities, the unforeseen magnitude of related design changes, and the high number of required Design Exceptions, the Project has expended the remaining design budget faster than anticipated.
5-$9,000,000 for the Portland Streetcar. No cuts here, of course. Actually there is more money going to the damn thing
6-LAFAYETTE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE MAINTENANCE ANDREPAIR SERVICES And yet another "privatized" function that should be in house with union wage. But we all know how that story goes.
7- CONTRACT MODIFICATION WITH NORTHCOAST ELECTRIC COMPANY TO PROVIDE LED LIGHTINGFIXTURES AND CONTROLS AT VARIOUS TRIMET FACILITIES This is an additional $348,633 on top of the m $1,110,189 because as we know when it comes to capital projects there are no limits.
8-ADOPTINGSERVICE CHANGES AND REVISING ROUTE DESIGNATIONS Bureaucrats like to make constant changes because that is what they do. Create problem then present a solution. There was substantial public testimony against some of these changes but we know how much influence public testimony has on anything. NONE
As you can see from the above that the only thing that was "cut" was actual service to actual people. Everything else at Trimet is fully funded.
Don't believe the lies.
