I for the life of me just can't understand why the people who manufacture these buses can't figure out the proper ergonomics. They've only been making buses for 75 years yet they can't seem to figure this out.

What's interesting is that they actually addressed the issue with the more recent buses. I wonder if they could retrofit the design change into the buses that don't have it (and, yes, ideally they would have discovered the issue in the first place by putting a test bus in service for people to try out).

Also, electronic fares should eliminate much of the need to press the screen to print tickets.
After the 2900 series busses they went the opposite direction with regards to egonomics. Thats what happens when you consult with a scab organization (according to rumor).
