The usual strategy. This has been the the case when it comes to the ergonomic design of MAX operators cabs. Even TriMets own paid for studies have shown that is what I refer to as “Ergonomic Torture Chambers “. Let alone the cabs are death traps if fire occurs in the main passenger compartment.

The total lack of empathy for the dispossessed riders of the Portland Metro region is shocking and disturbing. The TriMet code does not allow for this to happen yet its happening. Not only is TriMet no totally dysfunctional as a transit agency but its literally hurting people that need its services the most

As we have all seen the "government" is no longer there to help any of us. It's there solely to steal our money via taxes and redistribute that wealth to various people, a small portion goes to actual people that needs jobs, TriMet bus drivers are one example. Most of the money that TriMet spends goes to capital projects which is how the elites funnel your taxes into their pockets.

CEO Sam The Man is out the same rubber stamped mold of the last three TriMet CEOs. All have been chosen for the their abilities to keep the TriMet Capitalization Projects Ponzi Scheme viable. Most importantly to divide the Rank & File to make ATU 757 weak to the point it is irrelevant. All of them have, including the current TriMet CEO have professed that they value the Rank & File for dedication during the most difficult of times, weather in be financial or a pandemic￼￼￼￼￼￼￼: “we” are HEROES! Talk is cheep. Especially when you look at their actions during labor negotiations. Then the true malice of their insincerity comes quite apparent.
This vote of no is not just about pay but many other issues that ATU 757 is to inept to even bring to a negation table.
Vote for your pocket book but realize in the end your wallet in your back pocket will NOT project you from the ever increasing amount of shoe leather that is being inserted daily up operators rear end.

This is my comment on that post, almost all of my comments that are posted to "mainstream" (although bike portland is not mainstream they are connected) are not posted I post them to my personal blog. For example Jarrett Walker (the so called brilliant consultant) refuses to post any of my comments
This is 100% on TriMet and public transportation neoliberal technocracies that have been following the same neoliberal order that is now ruling every aspect of our lives. TriMet specifically, not under Kelsey but under Mcfarlane, destroyed the job as “bus operator” by terminating the European style health benefits and the defined pensions. Basically he turned the job of bus operator into just another run of the mill job that had a decent salary (after three friggen years) . Why work as a transit operator now? Why deal with the collapsing civilization close up? It’s not worth it! These technocracies see this job as “unskilled labor” when the exact opposite is the reality, its highly skilled labor finding people who can drive the bus and deal with people suffering at the edge of society. TriMet does nothing to mitigate this situation, they offer a “bonus”, which is paid out over three years. They have done nothing to mitigate the crisis and will do nothing, just like all the other unaccountable public transportation technocracies across this collapsing society. Pity the poor citizens who are stuck using this pathetic excuse for a transit system. Capital projects at TriMet are 100% funded, the only thing that doesn’t work is the actual transit system. I’m sorry to say this but your public transportation system is run by unaccountable “corrupt” (its legal) people.
