My comment was deleted as expected.
In a "capitalist" society when you can't get something you increase the amount of money offered until you can fill the need. HOWEVER, what we have seen with the glorious Amerikkan Public transportation Industrial complex is the exact same thing we have seen with corporate amerikka. Degradation of workers pay/benefits while the executive compensations go straight up. Insofar as TriMet specifically is concerned you couldn't get a job there in the past. And why was that you ask? Well it had SPECTACULAR pay and SPECTACULAR benefits, such as european style health care and a DEFINED pension. Guess what? The executive class stole all that away while giving themselves a bonus and look where we are now. Sure the benefits are better than Uber but that's about it.
And the hits just keep on coming-another max vs ped incident, apparently the guy was laying flat in between the tracks and the train went right over him. He's not even injured. The video of the max calls goes whacko about 3 minutes in but the audio is fine.
I'm hearing incredible amounts of driver hysteria over the scanner about people smoking fentanyl. People are feeling sick, having symptoms etc. This is all in their heads, it's not possible physiologically and this is nothing but another example of MASS FORMATION PSYCHOSIS (you cannot find this information using google search, google is highly censored now)
It would take 200 min of breathing fentanyl at the highest airborne concentrations to yield a therapeutic dose, but not a potentially fatal oneEverything we are hearing on the scanner is 100% hysteria and has no basis in human physiology

Donaghy indicated that there is no current contract, unsigned or otherwise, that stipulates TriMet will be responsible for the operation and finances of the light rail extension into Vancouver. But, he was very clear in his stance that C-TRAN will not be responsible for the light rail element of the project.
