LABOR STRIFE AT TRIMET CONTINUES

ATU Activist,  I am sad to report The TriMet board refused to take action yesterday that would have sent TriMet and the Union back to the bargaining table. For a real opportunity to solve this mess.

We want to be very clear: Lynn Lehrbach did the right thing! Lynn put forward a motion for the board to direct TriMet to rescind their proposed action, of passing on insurance increases to our retirees, full and part time employees. No other Board member would even offer a second. Tiffany Sweitzer walked out of the meeting.

If you see or talk to Mr. Lehrbach thank him. We wish the rest of the board understood Labor like Lynn .

So we are at it again. Another informational Picket. This time we are going to Mr. McFarlane's (TriMet G.M.) house. I have added an attachment with time (9:30-11:30am), date (Saturday December 11th), and directions (232 SW Texas. Portland). Once again I am sending phone numbers to call, including TriMet Management, TriMet board, and a few legislators. These are not the only legislators to call though, any legislator at any level will help, these are just a few. I am also attaching our Things-You-Need-to-Know memo.
If you need copies or if there is anything I can do to help you help us please call.

Please distribute this information through every channel available. We need turn out.

Thank you,
