How to overcomplicate a bus shelter cleaning contract
I'd sure like to know how much TriMet spends to clean a MAX station...I bet there's no way it can be done for anywhere nearly $8.00 per "cleaning"...
But...somehow MAX is cheaper than bus...of course it is when you fudge the numbers in your favor. Since TriMet uses its own employees for MAX station maintenance, it can easily hide the true numbers.

If that's true, it would be because MAX stations are much bigger than an average bus stop (much of which is not TriMet's responsibility)
And Al, don't you think they should make sure they are getting the best bang for their buck?
somehow MAX is cheaper than bus
If you look at the official costs, you'll find that the per-hour MAX cost is much more expensive than bus.
And do you have any proof that they are fudging the numbers?
