ATU INTERNATIONAL RESPONDS TO CHRIS DAY'S COMPLAINT
Why can Chris Day direct his insasinable energy in the direction of eleimnating (SIP) for everone... I challenge you Chris Day, be productive accomplish something for someone other then your self, you'll thank me later, just do it!
Wow I am not sure how to take that comment. Here are two accomplishments that I did: 1. Required TriMet to recognize contractual leave for all domestic partners 2. Made it possible for probationary operators the opportunity to appeal an accident It is only two things at the moment and it doesn’t sound like much. To get just those two things I had to fight hard and had very little support from my local. If you feel I am self-centered with my action that is your feelings, just don’t say I have not done anything to help improve our membership. BTW this current action will make a clear statement to Union Officers that it is their duty to assure our member’s rights stay protected. Without being a union Officer sometimes the only things I can do is focus on events I am able to get documentation on. When an event happens to others I am instructed that it is not my business. When it happens to me the must provide documents and that is when I am able to take action. If members want to present me the needed documents so I can move something forward than bring it on. I will take it on and put my best foot forward. I do not agree with the SIP program and have been fighting it all the way.
Thank you Anonymous, On January 1, 2011 I did announce to some members of my intent to run for ATU757 Union President. Though I am the underdog and I am not as popular as others I am going to attempt my best.

Chris, Run for Union Officer, we need change, real change, and I'm not talking that Obama lip service kind of change like Khris Alexander does.
Pres., VP Pres., Treasurer, Garage Rep., your already qualified as you stated above.
