"Everyone's walking around with their iPods, not hearing what's going on around them," Lacoursière said. "People don't look around. They are all living in their own bubble."
Lacoursière said city bus accidents are no more common than accidents involving other vehicles. Isabelle Tremblay, a spokesperson for the STM, refused to comment about the accident, except to extend her condolences to the family.
