Some people will be happy about this but I have huge problems with government telling people what they can and cannot do and where they can do it. I am not a smoker and do not enjoy second hand smoke but I am against this policy.
The agency is preparing for the July 1 implementation of our Smoke-Free
policy, first announced in December of last year. TriMet is dedicated to
creating and maintaining a healthy work environment for employees. This
new policy will apply to all TriMet customers, visitors, contractors
and employees, and is intended to eliminate the potential for exposure
to secondhand smoke. An employee who wanted to smoke during the work day
would need to leave TriMet property to do so. Additional information is

Centers offer to employees and dependents who want to stop smoking or
