Once you get outside of the central city, the Blue Line is pretty good. Besides the S curve at Sunset, there's not a lot that could be done to make Westside MAX faster (at least without having the ability to run express trains).
As for streetcars, they're not intended to go fast and get you across the region.

And fix the unnecessary curves and realign the Beaverton Transit Center (at great expense), and the Sunset TC (at great expense), and straighten the alignment through downtown to eliminate those 90 degree curves (at great expense), and eliminate the Mark Hatfield Government Station stop (which requires another 5 MPH ear-piercing 90 degree turn)...
The current Beaverton TC was built well before MAX so those curves were a given.
As for the Hatfield station, it serves city and county government buildings as well as a large park and ride. The curve isn't that bad considering it only affects people using one station, and is right next to the station where trains wouldn't be going fast anyways.

It surprised me to see that MAX is relatively fast compared to the rest of them. Not exactly RAPID transit if you ask me

Interesting how the title says "kilometers per hour" but then the table says "MPH"...which is it?
