Portland left off another 'top' list

Most intelligent people understand that the "Portland" and "Trimet" public relations
dept's have successfully created a false image about themselves.

Get over yourself, Portland?
Or, perhaps more to the point, get with the program, Portland?
There's another top-cities' list circulating on the Slate Magazine website, this one for "The 15 U.S. Cities That Are Driving the Future."
Portland is a forward-thinking city with praised planning, good livability and a TV show that pokes at our idiosyncrasies.
How could Portland not make a list about the future?
Well, it turns out the latest list actually comes from the Milken Institute, an independent economic think-tank. The list looks at where jobs are created and retained. It scored cities based on at things like job growth, high-tech gross domestic product growth and salary growth.
And it turns out that the Portland metro area did make the list, at 21st, up two spots from last year. So there's that.
