Trimet ATU757 officers off to Hawaii

Shirley,John, Mary and some other union officers took off to Hawaii to allegedly attend this conference: https://www.ifebp.org/education/usannual/Pages/annual-employee-benefits-conference-1501.aspx

Why did all these people need to go to the exact same conference when only one person could have brought back the info?

They left last Friday so they could have the weekend to themselves apparently. All on the members dime I assume
