TRIMET SCANNER MARCH 5

Neal Berlin’s assessment of Doug Kelsey

Doug “The Desk “ legacy at TriMet will be remembered by the Rank & File for his insincerity as he spoke of and to the underlings he professed to care about their well being when it came to safety and their retirement benefits. Most of his  proclamations came from safety of his home during many of the crises that faced the front line workers he said cared about.  The lasting effects of numerous contactual  “ take aways” will not only have profound effect on those mentioned in the contract but will effect the ridding public and the Portland community. The effect on the morale, that has never been lower, and still sinking ,of the Rank & File has great consequences that can’t be measured in dollars.  This added to a management culture that is encouraged to

“Hang Them High” for workplace infractions that are not only at times a  arbitrary but did not even occur.  I am sure he feels that he has done a great job during his tenure at TriMet.  The TriMet Board (bobble heads) Directors think so and have told him so in the tune of 5% raise, $15,000 just this past year.  His departure leaves many more nails in the coffin of Local ATU 757 that he has done his best to make irreverent. His gold plated retirement package will be a great comfort to him and not a second thoughts about the Rank & File who still and will struggle to take care of themselves and their families. A legacy that unfortunately will remain in place at TriMet.( just side note; this a photoshop image.)

So it goes...Two Bells.

TRIMET SCANNER MARCH 1

RYAN VIKEN'S MESSAGE TO KELSEY

KELSEY EXPANDED THE ROLL OF THE  POLICE STATE AT TRIMET TO NEW HEIGHTS

Mr.  Kelsey:

Good afternoon.  I meant to get this to you before today, but because of Covid and caring for mother I was unable to do so.  I read the “TriMet News” article written by Roberta Altstadt on December 17, 2020 with contributions from Bruce Warner, President of the TriMet Board of Directors. I would like to share with you my experience under your leadership at TriMet.  While I am sure you may deserve praise, in my view, Ms. Altstadt and Mr. Warner did a complete disservice to all TriMet stakeholders.

kATHY WEI MAKES A NOBLE ATTEMPT TO ALLOW THE PUBLIC TO WEIGH IN ON THE MASSIVE $98 MILLION POLICE CONTRACT

Kathy Wei wanted more time for constituents to weigh in on this HUGE police state contract, especially after the power outages that kept some people off line for over a month.

Her motion was voted down in a 3-3 tie, with the 2 minority members voting with Kathy (who is also a minority) and the three WHITE ETABLISHMENT members voted against her.

It's a fascinating development that the board actually split along racial lines.

KATHY WEI ATTEMPTS TO ALLOW MORE PUBLIC INPUT ON THE POLICE STATE CONTRACT-VOTED DOWN BY ESTABLISHMENT MEMBERS

Dougie’s puke worthy goodby party

I could only make it through 22 minutes of this gag producing production where all the elites got together and celebrated their fellow elite Doug Kelsey. Worse than any board meeting I’ve watched. This is the 3rd “party” for an outgoing General Manager I’ve watched. They are all gag producing

WHY CAN'T TRIMET FIND MORE OF THIS SORT OF DRIVER
