TriMet October board-General managers report

Ridership is at 75% pre scamdemic-too bad they can't provide the service-this report is devoid of information

TRIMET PRETENDS ITS DOOMS DAY WITHOUT A FARE INCREASE

Somebody needs to explain to me why they think they need a fare increase when there is OVER ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN THIER BUDGET that has nothing to do with operations.

The FY2023 Adopted Budget totals just over $1.93 billion and includes: Resources supporting FY2023 total $1.93 billion including $78.8 million in operating revenue, $470.1 million in tax revenues, and $164.5 million in Federal funding.

Day-to-day Operating Requirements of $748.9 million including $441.5 million to operate the system, $159.8 million in general and administrative costs, $84.5 million for other post-employment benefits (OPEB), and $63.1 million for debt service.

TRIMET CALLS OCT 26

ALL CALLS TODAY ARE BY PDX SCANNER

The TriMet board creates false panic and Wai accuses Simmons of racism

These sock puppets are trying to make the case that if TriMet doesn't get a fare increase they will have to cut service---It's completely false and I can prove it. If TriMet was to raise the fares to $2.75 that's a 10% increase which will be hugely detrimental to people living in poverty. And is 10% more fare revenue going to create any positive change? I don't see how. This is agenda2030 squeeze every penny of of the "rabble". Couldn't be a worst time to be discussing this!

TRIMET OCTOBER BOARD MEETING

Well folks its that time again, another fabulous board meeting is about to happen.

As we who follow the agency know that the transit division that supplies transit to citizens is barely functional these days and very  unreliable. This isn't unique to TriMet is basically all of the larger transit agencies.

The career technocracy whines about the "operator shortage" but do nothing but offer a bonus to new hires. All current employees are excluded from this offer however, which is an insult to all the employees currently suffering through the job.
