TRIMET TRANSIT DISTRICT ATTEMPTS DESTRUCTION OF IT'S UNIONIZED EMPLOYEES BY THE CAREFUL APPLICATION OF PROPAGANDA WHICH IS DISSEMINATED BY THE PORTLAND CORPORATE MEDIA:

Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.

As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda, in its most basic sense, presents information primarily to influence an audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda. Propaganda can be used as a form of political warfare.

The problem with a lot of this is the drivers who, lets say, "Live outside their means". They want OT, and lots of it, they will do anything to get it. But at the same time they are running their own health into the ground. As long as we have these types of drivers, the workforce will always be smaller, and forced to work harder, cause if these guys can do it, so can you. Management sees the work being filled, they don't see what happens when you go home, or in many cases whats going on out on the road. There needs to be limits on Overtime, even tho it saves money by hiring less, its keep your health care costs up.

And when I say limits, I mean limits, not elimination. Extra money here and there is always a hopeful, but one shouldn't be depending on it.
