I enjoyed the views and beauty of the Sandy River at Glenn Otto Park on the #77 Route on Saturday.Too bad this route will not include this destination after June.TriMet should have promoted the #77 as a great way to cool off on the Sandy River in the summer.

It appears that the 80 and 81 buses will serve Glenn Otto Park with the route/schedule change.
However the basic point stands: there are so many great destinations to get to using TriMet buses, and TriMet does absolutely NOTHING to promote it. But, if there's a destination that can be reached on MAX/WES/Streetcar, TriMet will heavily promote it, even donating ad space on buses (!!) to advertise it.
A great "See where it takes you" ad campaign would be to show a destination, and at the bottom of the ad sign state: "TriMet Bus 77 will take you here. Go to www.trimet.org for schedule information."
I miss the Sound Transit ads from about four or five years ago, "I've seen the light..." with a tag-on line about its services, both rail and bus.
I'm enjoying your "series" on layovers!

Erik, I guess you've never heard about:
- The page dedicated to the timbers
- TriMet Transit To Trails page
- TriMet's page about taking transit to the rose festival parades
- The custom day-passes they printed for the rose festival in previous years
- TriMet's destinations page
