After one or more gunmen in an SUV opened fire on a SEPTA bus in North Philadelphia Saturday night, the bus driver "followed his instincts" and drove directly to nearby Temple University Hospital, a SEPTA spokesperson said.
None of the 10 passengers on the northbound Route 47 bus was hurt in the shooting on Seventh Street at Cecil B. Moore Avenue around 6 p.m., according to police.
But the driver didn't know that at the time and decided to be safe by diverting to the hospital, said the spokesperson, Sylvana Hoyos.
