It just so happens that I have reliable information about this operator, he is one of the most senior operators on the MAX line.
The explanation of the "headphones" is that they are EAR MUFFS.
It gets COLD in the driver compartments in the trains, so he wears them.
Notice how the complaint says "listening to music". That is a perfect example of how someone would EMBELLISH a complaint. How would anybody know what the person is listening to?
But above all, we see just how poisonous the public atmosphere is towards transit workers. The public just can't wait to 'inform' on us.
It's sickening what has happened to transit workers in this city, pathetic, just how much more can we take?
