Interesting how much money they will put into these obnoxious
sports fans who shove their way onto the MAX without having the basic
courtesy or the common sense to let others off first. They come on
drunk and obnoxious and think they own it even though they rarely ride
it. But TriMet puts all this money into taking care of these entitled
brats while everyday hard working people can't even get the bus service
they need.
Oh yeah this is so much more important than actual routes to their
regular customers. Thanks for continually praising their mismanagement
of funds.

I had mixed feelings when I first read this article. Ed of course is a great guy. It's very refreshing to see a manager who is "actually out there" working the nights and weekends instead of sitting behind the desk 9 to 5.
What bothers me is that TriMet always puts so much effort in trying to please the occasional transit rider, like the folks who go to the Rose Garden or Jeld Wen Field. The daily rider who depends on the system is largely ignored.
I doubt TriMet receives any kind of subsidy from the "for profit" Blazers or Timbers for the enhanced transit service TriMet provides.
I would always chuckle when at the Sunset Transit Center some evening and I'd watch everyone cram into a sardine can MAX train to go the stadium. Meanwhile a nearly empty number 20 bus would leave without one single fan on board. Of course the 20 practically stops right in front of the stadium. The trip down Barnes Rd. and Burnside is also much more pleasant.
