A man who makes six figures each and every year telling his workers that they need to make less.
A man who will end up with a six figure retirement talks about "getting retirement costs under control".
What's the matter with people ? Why are they so stupid?
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.”

Perhaps uninformed is a better term. Blogs such as your tend to "preach to the choir" and while that is a good thing, somehow this info needs to reach the consumer/public. Maybe we need a task force going around putting notices on bulletin boards at Safeway/Albertson's and the like. Places where the public stops to see what's on the wall/board. Handing notices to the public might be an option. You can print a whole lot of notices for what it costs for a lawsuit.
Great idea-WHERE R U ATU?
Al - I've been saying that for how long? The ATU has been, frankly, stupid, to let this go as long as it has. The ATU could have mounted an attack to defend against TriMet's one-sided attack. Instead, the public - and more importantly, the MEDIA, has been swallowing up TriMet's drivel and then spewing it out without question. The Oregonian and the Tribune occasionally, but lukewarmly, questions some parts of it, but then accepts everything else as is.
Government - and TriMet is a form of government - is supposed to be of the people, by the people, for the people. Not of TriMet Management, by TriMet management, for TriMet Management. TriMet seems to forget exactly why they exist in the first place. No, it isn't to create jobs. It isn't to leverage public/private investment. It isn't to encourage "smart growth", or encourage bicycling...it's to serve the public through public transit options and services.
Its "all" the fault of the past president (and now Vice), he chose to nothing in response to anything, he has been a partner to the company and their wishes, that the members who pay his salary, hypocrite.
