CHRIS DAY COMMENTS ON LATREST ATTACKS

FOX 12 reported this https://www.kptv.com/.../2-arrested-after-trimet-bus.../ and it gives a quote from management saying "Our hearts are with our operator as they recover from this frightening ordeal. Managers are connecting the operator with support service for their mental and emotional wellbeing." All management does is give you the workers comp paperwork to fill out and a card for the hotline to get help. If they are not able to get you back on the bus within the year they simply fire you.

The barriers need to be corrected to properly protect the operators from all types of attacks and when an assault takes place management needs to work with the operator to either assure a strong recovery so that they can drive again or assist in finding other possible solutions to assure the operator can maintain their employment.
KOIN 6 called me for an follow-up interview and to get my view of the stabbing that took place Monday. I advised ATU757 about the interview and they told me not to do it and if I did it would hurt my grievance. So sad to say that I am not being allowed to point out how management is not being supportive toward assaulted operators.
