 Sunday was fucked because the schedule is so unbelievably impossible to keep on time. Many routes now are. Because its so long between buses, people are waiting for over a half hour for a 'frequent service bus' only to be passed up. Customers are so angry anyway right now, I might as well just wear a target on my back. I do what dispatch tells me and people get so angry. I am so anxious at work anymore. Inside the bus, pissed off at me, passed up, angry at me... I am so stressed from the amount of anger focused in my direction that when Im told to pass people up, just to catch up a little so I can take a few minutes to 'recover' at the end of the line, that its less stress to just run it very late and turn & burn. It's become so overwhelming and distracting to endure the publics growing hostility. Left with no other choice I am safer to drive without most breaks. Just forgo adequate nutrition, mental recuperation, refocus, timely restroom breaks, stretching, etc... Because being alone & trying to endure the increasing levels of anger, verbal aggression and open hostility from many of our customers, who have an undeniable reason to feel this way, has become more of a distraction & hazard to me than accepting deprivation of other needs.
I'm so ashamed to be associated with this company right now. I am thankful for employment, but I miss being a part of the trimet that truly did care about the public they served and supported their frontline. I miss being proud of what i do. What this company is doing to all of us is despicable.

Dealing with the baby strollers

 Watching Lara's recent videos brings back the memories

I remember trying to deal with this silly Trimet baby stroller policy. I came up with my own strategy for dealing with this. I never made anyone take the kid out of the stroller but I would ask that they at least sit in the back of the bus so people getting on wouldn't have any problems and gave them this little piece of paper as they got on.

I've received information from a RELIABLE SOURCE who says Neil McFarlane Trimet's General Manager; Shelly Lomax Director of Operations; Hayden Talbot Director of Transportation, and not even one member of the Board of Directors EVER CONTACTED Mr. Dickson after his injuries THANKING HIM for coming to the aid of employee Leonard James and other customers who also came to the aid of James and each other that night. They NEVER asked HOW HE WAS DOING,  or THANK YOU FOR TAKING FIVE STAB WOUNDS FOR US or CAN WE HELP WITH YOUR MEDICAL EXPENSES AND OTHER FINANCIAL LOSSES (perhaps from our contingency fund) as a result of this horrific event caused to you and your families?

CARS OR TRIMET?

Cars and Trimet get us around when we wanna get out of the house or in general we really need to knock our to do's. Would you take a vehicle that is owned by you that you are paying for or would you take Trimet to get around? I would rather take a ride from my mom because I'm not just used to her taking me to places but at least she will behave and not cause problems like from what I've heard about on Trimet from the news.
