The incident was pretty minor, and service wasn't actually shut down. Everybody should have been able to get where they were going. The only issue is that things like that are unpredictable, and decisions to reroute/turn back/reschedule trains are made on the fly as things go along, disrupting passengers.
Ya I know but I am NOT A MAX SUPPORTER, especially the Milwaukie extension in a time of fiscal contraction, ERGO, expect any negativity to be EXAGGERATED!
