Think this job is easy? Think again!

So it sounds to me like this bus driver wanted to throw a woman and her child off the bus?
I think we have heard of something like this before!
Sounds to me like the Trimet manager did the right thing.

Sounds to me like the woman may have verbally assaulted the bus driver. If this is the
case, unless there is more to the story, it seems her and her child should rightfully have to
catch another bus. It's obviously unfortunate that a child is part of this situation, but
should having a child with you give you special privileges to misbehave and curse people
out?

Who's right and who's wrong?
Bus drivers are public servants. (note the word servant)
Bus drivers are paid by tax payers dollars.
This blog always defends bus drivers like they are never bad.
I have seen plenty of bus drivers that have no business being bus drivers. They have no interpersonal relations skills yet they have a job which requires interpersonal relations expertise.
If this manager put that woman back on the bus there must be a reason.
It's not always the riders that start up the situations. Your rude and inconsiderate bus drivers are to blame in many of these disputes.
Of course they have a union to defend them, no matter how awful they are.
Remember the saying 'the customer is always right'
Well at Trimet its always 'the driver is always right'.
And that is why there is so much animosity between the public and Trimet bus drivers.

The supervisor obviously upset the operator then left the operator in service.

That's not exactly a safety first concept.

Does paying $2 for a bus ride give someone the status of "master" and right to treat someone else (a bus driver) as their servant?
The 99% are all servants to the corporate aristocrats that run this country, let's not lose focus on this big picture reality. The bus driver,
the middle class suburbanite, the teacher, and the welfare mother are all in the same boat that is sinking fast as we quibble amongst
ourselves!

Bus operators provide a public service. They are not your servants, serfs or your dishrag. The public forgets that respect and attitude is a two way street. Treat me nice.. I'll treat you better, Treat me bad.. I'll treat you worse. Human nature. Try being nice instead of lording over your "servants" just because you think you are the Master.

The supervisor's responsibility "is" to remove distractions from the bus, when called on, obviously, the driver did not know that (or is new)and the supervisior "should be writen up", due to the fact that they put the driver in a saftey hazard situation (she could have been beaten up). If the supervisor wanted to help the passanger, then they should have taken them in their truck home.

And soon enough you will all be private sector workers and your arrogance will be removed permanently.

We'll see how big you are when your union is destroyed and bus drivers that kick off moms and kids are fired on the spot with none of this union nonsense that the rest of us have had to suffer for far too long.

Poor baby bus driver is balling like a bitch because her supervisor told her to stop acting like little hitler.

OK folks, it's getting nasty.
Can't we all get along?

Crash and burn, this subject. When no one thinks of the impact of an assault happens on someone else feels like. Just think if that were you mom, sister, aunt, or even grandmother (we have grandmothers at the company), how would you want them treated at their workplace, that's the question?
