Clackamas gives Trimet the property

Commissioner Tootie Smith, a vocal critic of TriMet who once said she'd be willing to rip up the 35 percent completed work on the Orange Line, said the board's approval supports the will of the people. "We are doing what the public asked with the vote," Smith said. "We are trying our best to deal with what we've been dealt."
