THE STATE OF OREGON FUNCTIONS WITH SOME LEVEL OF TRANSPARENCY

The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.

Unlike Trimet, that goes out of its way to prevent information from getting to the public, the state makes information from its hearings easily available in addition to broadcasting its meetings.
THIS is all the testimonies made at the hearings for HB 3316.
Imagine if Trimet actually made testimonies before its board so easily available.

The funniest part of those hearings,  hysterical actually, was the attempt by Mcfarlane and his hacks to make the argument that 'there is nothing wrong with the management, its the health care costs that are to blame for EVERYTHING that has gone wrong'.
Truly incredible 'magical thinking'.
