TRIMET'S MISUSE OF THE WORD 'MARKET'

This is a brand new invention by the Trimet spin doctors, they have invented a brand new word over at propaganda headquarters.

The odd thing about Trimet's use of this word is that

A-It is used to justify salary increases to non union employees

B-It is used to justify benefit decreases for non union employees (which is basically the same as a salary decrease)

Of course the tyrants of Trimet don't consider Lane Jensen a journalist, even though he has   broken more than one story on the subject of Trimet. Lane Jensen is like me, a relentless critic of Trimet policies, procedures, and executive class. Trimet doesn't recognize anybody that doesn't believe in the Cult of Trimet as a 'journalist'.

In my personal case I offer the most comprehensive coverage of Trimet available on the internet. You find on my blog stories from the mainstream media, other Trimet bloggers, and my very own take on issues affecting Trimet.

My blog is also the only place on line that carries the policy makers of Trimet, the Trimet board of directors. For Trimet to say I am not a 'journalist' is an absurd hypocrisy. I am critical of their operations mainly because every other 'media' just constantly spits back whatever Trimet prints.

Mcfarlane has been busy reinventing the wheel over at Trimet. Of course moving people around gives the impression that something is being done.  In one breath he talks about the award winning multi modal paradise that has been created by Trimet then in the next breath he finds he has to reorganization the entire award winning structure, moving bureaucrats around and changing job descriptions. Mcfarlane is like a little kid who has a toy store all of his own to play with.

In a memo to staff on Monday, McFarlane wrote: "I believe these organizational changes will position us to better account for our performance, accept responsibility for the results, and provide more transparent decision-making. A sharpened focus on accountability (hahahaha)will help us manage our business efficiently and deliver improved outcomes for our customers, our employees, and our stakeholders.

This is a view of the windshield of the new 3100 series buses. How many blind spots do you see there? The mirror, the large window with the large frame, and a whole new obstruction, a big post in what appears to be in the left of the main view! Why would any safety conscious organization purchase a vehicle that includes an entire EXTRA visual obstruction?

The ever increasing stress from less running time and less support, and more  pressure to make up time to rescue impossible schedules, i have been off work for several weeks.

This type of stress directly aggravates my anxiety disorder that has been controlled for several years, until this trend of hobbling schedule times, and incrementally removing recuperative time at the end of the lines.

Carefully worded instructions from dispatchers to 'take what you need' for breaks but a clear understanding that leaving late is not acceptable, as well as general interrogation as to why one is late at all...and constant irritation and frustration from customers who we are hopelessly unable to satisfy, as well as daily complaints and overall poor opinion of all front line trimet employees who are seen as representatives of this company, it has become so overwhelming for me, that my once well controlled anxiety disorder has not only become exacerbated, it has dramatically increased in severity, resulting in frequent panic attacks which are debilitating, causing me to have to get off of the road as I am unable to ensure safety during the peak time of its cycle..
