Check out Richmod VA transit operator biographies website
Unfortunately, the Richmond bus system barely extends beyond city limits. As a result, 40% of the employers (so who knows how many potential employees that would account for) are not accessible by public transport. Many bus routes don't even operate on the weekends. So while as a former employee of Trimet you might have some very valid grievences: as a former TriMet user--I'm leaving Richmond to return to PDX and Trimet. It's really my only option as a non-driver.
But yes, this photo exhibit was wonderful and touching and I was so happy to see it. It's not our GRTC bus drivers' fault that the city and surrounding counties can't get along to fund a decent system.
Richmond Transit may suck, and I'm sure it does (never rode it) but the point of the post is the homage paid to their operators by having that 'tribute' to each and every one of them.
