Trimet says it has a "low income fare program"

But there is ZERO information on the Trimet.org site exactly where a rider needs to go to qualify for a low income fare!

They brag that there are "40" places that have low income fares but not even one of those places is listed.

As they say on Twitter:
#Trimess #FAIL!

Is this someone you know?

TRIMET light rail is cursed

I love the Trimet radio

The MAX controllers are particularly amusing.

OH THE MAX--OH LORD

Joe Rose's car gets hit by a Trimet bus

Rail screw up of the day

The beauty of having so many goddamn trains running in such a small city

What good is the Trimet scheduling department?

A bus 12 driver has been having problems connecting with the 21 bus at Parkrose TC.
The driver saw a Trimet scheduler at Center Street driver area and decided to tell him that the buses are not connecting properly and could they reschedule the 21 bus to depart later since its the last bus of the night.
The Trimet scheduler gave the following response;

"We are not here to make bus connections"

What the f*k are is the scheduling department  for then?

Portland is a world leader in the Agenda 21 planning

In regards to a Oregonian comment labeling the Trimet light rail program a "failure"

In 25 years it might be a different story. My bet is they will fill the little boxes as time progresses.
It's not transit, its social engineering using transit. Transit used to be about bringing people to where people wanted to go.
Now its about bringing people to where the social planners want you to go.
Portland leads the movement in this area.
Some refer to this as AGENDA 21:

Warning shot fired at ATU757 members

A warning shot has been fired today at Trimet union members.
I consider myself a scholar in regards to these events because I have spent so much time studying the subject and watching the players.

The following passage was written by the Oregonian Editorial board today. We all know that the Oregonian is the paper that is most responsible for promoting the government agenda.

Look at this propaganda (remember that everything that comes to us from the mainstream media is propaganda)

Mass transit, meanwhile, expands but not without suburban protest. TriMet, the region's bus and train agency, finds itself at the center of politically charged arguments about civic autonomy, perceived Portland arrogance, and whether light rail really can compete financially with bus service. The agency suffers financially from overcommitments on health care and retirement benefits, despite trims established late in a 2014 labor pact with its drivers and mechanics. And the slow, clickety-clickety-clack Portland Streetcar, distinct from TriMet-run MAX trains, continues to charm residents and tourists alike(what the fuck) – but at an uncalculated price.

So here we go again folks. Don't say I didn't tell ya so.

Chris Day publishes an update

While doing my research for the bylaws change I have found in the International bylaws 14.4 where it does state that "All LUs shall conduct nominations in a timely fashion such that the election process (whether under the primary or plurality system) is completed no later than the twentyfifth (25th) of June".  My statement is still true about what it says in 14.1 but 14.4 does state that the election process must be completed no later than the twentyfifth (25th) of June. I do still feel and will show that a plurality system can be done with in the restrictions given.

Another MAX snafu

The torture continues

That MAX disruption lasted until this morning

"Rules" only apply to union employees

Nobody knows how to screw up your job more than Trimet

I spent 15 years of my life working at Trimet (aka Trimess) and one thing I vividly remember is how every three months we were forced to change our work schedules.

Every three months operators had to go through the stressful motions of selecting new 'work'. No matter how many years you've been at Trimet this was always a stressful situation for people.
