Pierce Transit, Western Washington's second largest public transit provider, is sending out layoff notices to at least 185 of its employees this week. Following the failure of a proposed sales tax increase, PT has had no choice but to drastically reduce service by as much as 20% with corresponding layoffs.

This was coming, like TriMet, PT is top heavy, but lacks in the light rail department, so I'm not really sure, but I am guessing mismanagement far worse than TriMet.
Theres also speculation the CNG Explosion was a set up to reduce the service, you know, bait and switch. There doesn't seem to be any urgency in fixing it.
