Email Received: Service Alert: MAX Blue, Green and Red line delays due to switch problem
Due to switch problems at Gateway Transit Center, MAX Blue, Green and Red line trains through that area are experiencing delays. Delays are most significant for eastbound trains along I-84. Riders should consider alternative options. Check trimet.org/a for updates.

It's absolutely amazing how many "switch problems" just stop MAX in its tracks.
Time to install a nice, manual, armstrong interlocking.
Couldn't one of those also occasionally have problems? The problems here didn't "stop" MAX, just delay trains while people were checking out the problem and manually throwing the switches. It may be a downside of having lots and lots of service.
