Hey, four bus shelters! According to Neil McFarlane during his "TweetChat" TriMet spent a million bucks on bus stop improvements.

A Million Bucks! Oh My God!!!

Except...I did a little research:

http://www.trimet.org/news/releases/may24-rockwood-opening.htm

May, 2011: $5.3 million dollars spent on the Rockwood MAX station.

http://www.trimet.org/news/releases/2010/dec1-civic-station.htm

December, 2010: $3 million spent on Civic Drive MAX station.

So...$1 million for bus riders...$8.3 million for MAX riders.

Not counting, of course, the solar panel installation downtown, or the various unused bike and ride facilities...

MAX riders got $8 for every $1 bus riders got. Impressive? I think not.
