It's very nice that the propaganda department can construct these cute little charts. But to put out this sort of propaganda without producing the facts that created the chart is evidence of ethical failure.
And ethical organization would produce for all of us to see a list of other transit districts along with a clear explanation of their EXACT benefit structures. Showing the public a chart without the facts is disingenuous. Are they putting forth the argument that they surveyed ALL the other transit districts before making this chart?

My guess is this is based on National Transit Database figures (that's where I get the numbers I've cited on this issue) but I don't know.
Do you have the link for this information>
How can I verify the information Trimet is providing is actually true?
OK I found this, I'll look through it ;
National Transit Database
Right off,the graph is false in that there are over 300 part-time drivers that do have to pay something for their spouses and families.The graph implies that 100% of the cost is covered for all union employees.
TriMet refuses to actually document what union employees make (salary and benefits) at comparable transit agencies.
What does a King County Metro Operator get? Pierce County Transit? UTA? Spokane Transit? LTD? Cherriots? All those agencies in California? Denver RTD?
Graphs can say whatever you want them to say.
