Non union employees get to go home when it gets hot

And why do i have to drive ten hours in a non-air conditioned bus? Sure don't see them riding the system for ten hours in 100° weather.
I find the memo from Jessica Bucarrelli insulting and appalling.
To every operator, MOW or Maintenance crew-person working outside in the extreme heat: if you cannot reach adequate restroom facilities or bottled water to replenish yourselves at transit field locations, let your supervisor, manager or dispatcher know you are going home for the day.
Your safety and well being are the single most impportant priority given the safety sensitive jobs you perform.
