Metro can do a
better job assessing whether strategies for increasing ridership are
effective by reviewing the results of various programs once they are
implemented, according to an audit that will be released today.
The performance audit, conducted by Metro Auditor Suzanne Flynn
and her staff, found that the regional planning agency should increase
the use of “outcome measures” — actual results — to determine if
pro-ridership efforts are working or not.
