Being one of the more experienced ex employees in the matter of management vs the employee all new employees must understand what they are dealing with at Trimet.
If you never have an incident, complaint, accident and never speak badly about or challenge the Trimet leadership the chances of you never being called in for a meeting with the management are good. If you always do what you're told, always work extra when asked, you just might get one of those cushy road supervisor jobs.
But if you find yourself ending up at the 'office' (similar to grade school) you must never talk to these people without your union rep being present and doing the talking for you.
Never offer information that can be used against you!
The reason they are calling you into these meetings but withholding the reason for the meeting is that they are trying to get you to incriminate yourself.
They are fully prepared to attack you, you have virtually no preparation since they have withheld from you and your union rep the material they will be using against you!
It's not court of law, its Trimet tyranny plain and simple. They terrorize you and hold the threat of losing your job over your head. The managers are very skilled at saying all the right things and smiling etc but when you get the written letter from them its the total opposite. They are known to downright lie and distort the actual events that may have occurred. They are not to be trusted, EVER!
Always get your union rep, and listen to them! They are experienced in dealing with this. Right now there is a war being fought against the workers at Trimet, especially the ones with seniority.
