IS TRIMET FUCKING WITH ME?

Director Stoval asks about the demise of fare less square

DOES THIS MAKE TRIMET CRIME STATS?

TRIMET CRC FUNDED PLANNERS TO BE PICKED UP BY TRIMET

My guess would be that they are moving them to the other boondoggle project, MLR.
Always money available for the useless in that hog trough

Q: What do the latest developments with the Columbia River Crossing (CRC) mean for TriMet?
A: The Washington State legislature chose not to consider a funding bill for Washington’s share of the project. As a result, the OR and WA governors have issued instructions to close down the Project office, effectively ending the CRC project that would have replaced the Interstate 5 bridge between Oregon and Washington. The project would also have extended the Yellow Line into Vancouver, WA. The five Capital Project employees working at the project office will be transitioned to other ongoing Capital Projects work.

CRC closed down, Portland light rail agency now facing audit

It’s been a rough couple of days for Portland’s vaunted light rail system. First came word last weekend that the Washington State Senate had called Gov. Jay Inslee’s bluff and rejected a House-backed transportation package that would have authorized funding for a new toll bridge over the Columbia River along Interstate 5 — but only if the span also extended light rail service 2.9 miles from Portland into Vancouver. Then on Tuesday, the Oregon Senate voted to require a performance audit of TriMet, the regional government agency that oversees public transit in the Portland metro area. The Olympia Report

FINAL TRIMET SCHEDULING UPDATE 10PM

Once again you would think that by this time of night everything would be close to on time. Not a chance. These are the buses/trains off schedule

My public records request was answered, but only partially

I made the THIS public records request. Again I was not charged for the information. However, I didn't get the answer to my request:

TRIMET- TRANSIT OR BATHROOM?

TriMet audit overwhelming approved by Oregon Legislature; Kitzhaber will wave through

Rep. Chris Gorsek, D-Troutdale, the chief sponsor of House Bill 3316, said the audit probably wouldn't have been necessary if TriMet didn't have a reputation for sweeping problems under the carpet and operating behind closed doors.
"For an agency that controls as much money and as many lives as TriMet, transparency is very important," Gorsek said. "We need to know what's going there and why."

APPEARS THAT TRIMET HAS JUST LOST $1.6 MILLION IN CRC SHUTDOWN

And of course tens of millions had CRC been allowed to carry on

Oregon Legislature overwhelmingly approves state audit of TriMet

Secretary of State Kate Brown will conduct an unprecedented top-to-bottom audit of TriMet's operations, finances, governance and transparency under a bill approved Tuesday by the Oregon Legislature.
The state Senate voted unanimously to finalize the measure, which lawmakers say was prompted in large part by recent investigations by The Oregonian into sleepy drivers and managers receiving secret pay raises. Gov. John Kitzhaber has said he will sign the bill.

Only one elected representative voted against the audit:
Victor Gilliam is a Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 18.

TRIMET SCHEDULING FAILURES AT 2:15 PM

Looks like an institutional problem to me. The fact that dispatch grills operators over being late shows how truly screwed up the management is. 25 runs are more than 10 mins late before rush hour

TRIMET MASSIVE SAFETY FAIL (safety is a joke at Trimess)

The bus comes in 18 minutes late to the relief driver and the bus has no A/C on top of that.
How do you think that relief driver is doing right now? You think they may be a little frazzled right now? You think this is a safe situation?  This is what is called a massive safety fail on the part of Trimet management.
