It's less of a crime to beat up an operator than text a Trimet executive

Lane Jensen faces multiple years in jail while the bus driver attacker faces a maximum of 60 days in jail.

I'm hope that other media in the Portland area will pick up on this injustice. The general public has the right to know.

The media? You mean the Oregonian or other mainstream media? No chance of a positive spin. These folks are part of the go-along-get-along crowd and Lane rates only their contempt or is to be ignored.

Big Brother has a lock on the system.

The assault guy got a Class C Felony and 2 Class A Misdemeanors - Lane got a Class B Misdemeanor (31x) - you are comparing bail amounts NOT the actual charges.

Perfect monetary analogy of true power.

Daemon only worries about himself and the instant gratification of 50 cents saved; whereas, Lane is interested in saving millions of tax payer dollars and including the lives of the populous at large... he used a digital telephone against a set of eyeballs for his hideous crime instead of his powerful fists.

Very much looking forward to suing The junk mailings to my house, Google, Yahoo, & AOL for all those hideous pop-up/paper printed ads my eye balls had to uncomfortably endeavor on my digital telephone and in my metal mail box.

Kevin Michael Purefield pleaded guilty in Multnomah County Circuit Court Wednesday to one count each of misdemeanor stalking and telephonic harassment.

Purefield was repeatedly harassing victims’ families of the Aurora Colorado movie theatre shooting.

Purfield is scheduled to be sentenced Friday to what likely will be a year of mental-health court, where he will have to check in weekly with a specialist who will help him with any needs, such as attending doctor’s appointments, taking medications and maintaining a place to live.

Purfield also will be ordered not to phone, email, text or otherwise have any contact with the families of the 12 who died or the 58 who were injured during the July 2012 screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

“We just want to stop the behavior and get him help,” said Kirsten Snowden, the deputy district attorney who heads Multnomah County’s misdemeanor trial unit.

Since 2004, John Copic, the deputy district attorney for Multnomah County has been assigned to prosecute “ONLY TRANSIT CRIMES” for Tri Met. John Copic has gone to very extreme measures this time to isolate Lane and to prevent Al from being in the court room in a calculated move by subpoenaing Al as a witness.

It’s a violation and injustice of our First Amendment Rights, freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Al has been handcuffed and gagged so he cannot attend and report the events of Lane’s trial on his very popular and substantially viewed blog.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So the question what is John Copic’s real motive and what is it that he wants to hide or achieve?

• Is the hearing and the charges just a ruse?

• Is it that the evidence is going to be exaggerated and that the witnesses are going to be scripted?

• Is it that the Tri Met Board and the General Manager have been publicly humiliated and embarrassed?

• Does it go as far as the Governor John Kitzhaber whose crony friends who are making a mint from all those Max projects might be exposed?

• Or Copic’s $500 political support of Rod Underhill’s campaign, favors to open up new doors for advancement in the future?

On two different occasions Lane texted two different non threatening questions to Tri Met Media Public Relations officer Roberta Alsteadt on her assigned Verizon phone on her designated number for work related matters multiple times;

“When will the non-union employees stop getting benefits and pensions after 3 years, while drivers have to wait 10-20? Who’s got the harder job?

“So what is it going to take to get safety on the busses? How many more lives is it going to take? 1? 10? 100? 1000? A driver being killed while in the seat?

Could you question that Roberta Alsteadt deliberately didn’t answer Lanes’ questions so she could entrap Lane and so they could claim telephonic harassment to set up and shut up Lane forever.

Four of Tri Mets contracted cops, usually seen on the max hustling people for their fares were sent to bully, arrest, handcuff, and seize Lane’s computer and cell phone.

On October 30, 2013 the Willamette Week did an article about Lane where the Tri Met chief media relations officer Mary Fetsch said, "Tri Met declines to comment, that it would be inappropriate to comment since this is a personal case and Tri Met has no involvement in the legal proceedings."

HMMMM
Tri Met cops arrested Lane!
Tri Met DA is prosecuting Lane!
Tri Met DA subpoenas Al!

But according to Mary Fetsh Tri Met has no personal involvement?

HMMMMM
Yes it is political and personal; it’s a calculated attack by Tri Met against two Bloggers who reports the facts and the truth about Tri Met.

Lane is the third blogger in Corvics ten year with Tri Met. One is a current employee and the other was an ex employee of Tri Met. Of the three the severity of Lane’s punishment does not fit the crime. Even Purefield who repeatedly victimized 12 grieving families of the Auroa theatre shooting got off with no jail time and no fine.

It’s a $10000 fine if you beat up an operator and 5 years in prison but if a blogger dares to exercise his First Amendment Rights by asking a question of a government’s agency Media Public Relations officer then its 15 years in jail and $78,000 in fines

You know Tri Mets new motto “sticks and stones might break drivers bones but bloggers factual words just might hurt the agency more”.
