The case of "Penny Lane"

"Penny" might not realize that the actual result of this exclusion will be zero because the hearings officer will allow her to continue to use Trimet for 'vital' functions like work, shopping etc once it becomes apparent that she is 'transit dependent'. However it is a huge pain in the ass to go to these freaking hearings. Remember everybody in attendance at these hearings is getting paid, except for the accused who has to absorb the complete cost/time on their own. The whole notion that you can get 'excluded' for speaking your mind should be abhorrent to every American.
