It seems that the officers put forth the argument that 757 will be sued if it went forward with the preferring of charges because libel is protected under free speech.
Information is that the union officers did not provide any supportive evidence as to how they came to that conclusion.
This argument swayed the members to vote no on the preferring of charges.
