Hybrid on the 48?

A snazzy TriMet promotional photo showing one of the two Hybrid buses at Orenco Station.

Question, though: has a Hybrid (2561 or 2562) EVER operated on the 48 line?

Looks photoshopped to me. The 48 is strictly a Merlo based line and the hybrid buses have never been assigned to Merlo. The only chance a hybrid would ever end up on a 48 line would be on a holiday since all runs originate from Center. But guess what, the 48 doesn't run on Sundays or holidays so that wouldn't be possible either. The whole thing is a fake.

The colors and shapes look not quite right in the picture. I think it's computer-generated and not actually a photo because it looks a lot like the computer-generated Portland mall simulation...

Well, when that bus first arrived, it was in different paint schemes, and the batteries on top were larger, like seen here. Some mods were made later on, including a new paint job and smaller battery pack on top. These were the first buses to show the new paint scheme being used now. This bus also sports the Ballios Destination Signage used on the 2500s, which doesnt show well at an angle. I dont doubt when it showed up they took it all over town for photo ops.
